FARTS in the Park (Free ART Sessions in the Park) is looking for a new Program Facilitator/Coordinator to join our team for our Fall/Winter Program. This position will run from October 2020 to March 2021 (**training will begin in August**).

This part-time position is approximately 4 - 8 hours/week (one shift per week)

Wage: *$16 - $20/hour (*depending on experience)

The ideal candidate is…

- reliable and responsible
- great at smiling and enjoys working with kids
- creative, innovative and thinks outside-the-box
- dedicated to ethical environmental practices
- confident teaching people while remaining culturally sensitive
- passionate about community building, waste reduction, and working in
the not-for-profit industry

Main duties include:

- creating and designing upcycled crafts/toys/games from waste
materials, recyclables and natural materials
- seeking out, collecting, processing and storing donated materials
- delivering program content at bi-weekly events in a fun and positive
- procuring volunteers for events
adhering to the FARTS in the Park ethos
- working with the team to help build and improve programming

No experience required, but bonus points if you:

- are experienced working with children aged 4 - 12 years old
- are First Aid certified
- have experience working in the not-for-profit sector
- are experienced in program coordination, program facilitation and/or -
event planning
- are bilingual
