We are hosting completely FREE ART SESSIONS in the park for children of all ages!
Our first session will be a hands-on finger paint and paste session about expressing how we identify ourselves.
When: Drop-in ANYTIME on Saturday June 15th from 11am - 1pm
Where: Revelstoke Trading Post Community Space
Bring: Your kids, a reusable water bottle to stay cool, and proper outdoor attire.
Kindly do not bring: Any outside garbage or food as our ethos is to LEAVE NO TRACE BEHIND. (Also, try not to bring a full bladder because there are no public restrooms on site.)
**ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A GUARDIAN AS CHILDREN WILL NOT BE SUPERVISED**
This is a family/community event where we would like to encourage parents to work with their children to help communicate their feelings about how they view themselves in a positive and open environment.
We will provide all supplies needed, but spaces are limited to until they run out (approx 20 - 30 kids) and seats are limited to 8 kids at a time.
We are hoping to host more sessions like these in the future based on participants, interests of the community and material donations. Having said that, suggestions and donations are always welcome, but not necessary to participate.
Special thanks to the following people for helping make this first session possible:
Big Mountain Kitchen/Revelstoke Florist/Home Hardware for all the cardboard
Nik for the tarps
And a VERY SPECIAL THANKS to the Revelstoke Trading Post for allowing us to share their space and make this event happen tomorrow!
Hope to see you there,
Frank and Jax :)
