Help Save The Hardway.
Do you drive south of Revelstoke to the Akolkolex River Falls, to McCrae Lakes Hiking area, to pick mushrooms or berries, or to just enjoy the views and backcountry?
Forestry is proposing to close the Hardway in 2019. This is the steep shortcut between 7.5 kilometer and 18 kilometer on the forestry road.
The shortcut is steep but safe for all 4x4 vehicles and saves gas and time . It also allows you to avoid many logging trucks.
Instead of de-activating the Hardway the forestry should spend the money repairing the road.
Help to Save the Hardway by joining many other groups and individuals in Revelstoke that have sent e-mails to our MLA - Doug Clovechok and the Minister of Forest, land, and Natural Resources - Doug Donaldson.
State that the money should be spent to repaired and maintain the Hardway for 4X4 access instead of de-activation.
