It’s Hip To Be Square! Have you been scarred by your memories of square dancing in P.E. class? Were you provisioned with a live caller, old-time band and enthused participants? Did you know that square dancing, as a traditional dance form, is a great social mixer and community gathering for all ages? Do you know that you don’t need a lick of experience to participate and dance? If you answered either yes or no to any of the above questions, then you should come out, have some good ol’ fun and be a part of the shenanigans. Professional caller Sean Fenstemaker is coming a long way to be your coach / caller / entertainer for the night, and multiple witnesses confirm’s Sean’s ability to get a crowd dancing. Music will be provided by old-time fiddle-banjo-guitar-bass quartet called The Tappalachian String Band, featuring the driving fiddling of Myra Morrison. This will take place at The Revelstoke Royal Legion on Saturday, December 29th, two nights before NYE!

Tickets at Valhallah Pure, $15.
12 and under free.
Informal concert 7:30-8:00 pm.
Coffee, tea and treats by donation.
Beer and wine $5 at cash bar.

Call for volunteers:

The coffee house wouldn't exist without the kindness and collective efforts of our community. It runs solely on volunteers donating their time and energy.

If you're interested in volunteering the night of the square dance we're looking for help. Just reply to this ad. We are looking for people to help set up the room, check on the kitchen, and a couple of lucky winners to pick up kegs from the brewery.

We also request the help of kind Revy-folk to contribute their baking to the coffee house cause. If you have the gumption and will power to put on your apron to make some baked goodies for the evening, it will not go unnoticed!
