I don't know if anyone else is paying ludicrous amounts of money for sub-par (to put it mildly) internet that only runs at 5mps half the time, but I'm sick of it. Add to that the fact that Telus bought the only competition in town only to shut it down, plus the fact that they tear out your copper line when they install fibre, and you have a pretty clear case of anti-competitive and anti-consumer practices. The ONLY reason Telus would remove a copper line is to prevent you going to the competition, who can legally use your copper line with ease but not your fibre line.
I will be writing a strongly worded letter to the CRTC regarding this matter, so I'm reaching out to the community to see if anyone else would like to add some weight to it. If this goes futher and they continue their disgraceful tactics and awful service, I may consider a class-action suit.
