Revelstoke, I feel for you.
This town is populated by hard working people, just trying to get by, and greedy, scummy landlords who try to exploit people looking for affordable housing.
Renting ramshackle trailers riddled with toxic black mold, mushrooms that grow seasonally out of floors, walls, and ceilings, floors so rotten they sag and pull away from the walls...
The worst part is, people end up trapped in these horrible places because there is literally nothing else available to live in that isn't over priced, and out of budget for anyone not in a two high income household.
So, yeah, do sometimes people leave places in less than desirable states when they leave? They do, but WHY do they?
Maybe when another home in another place becomes available and you have to rush to move, you can't afford to take time off work, and you are chronically ill as a result of hazardous living conditions for years, it's difficult to move properly like you normally would.
