The Review is part of a group of newspapers throughout BC owned by Black Press. Having built a business entirely based on local newspapers the management have in their wisdom decided to create a BC wide online news model. As such, any editor in the group, eg the editor of the Nelson Star, can post articles to the Revelstoke website - this means that the editor in Revelstoke doesn't control all the content on the Review website. She can remove articles she deems not relevant to Revelstoke, but that would mean half her time would be spent monitoring it - who has time for that?
So, those articles about bear attacks in Bella Coola or wherever, aren't put on the website by the Revelstoke team. Everybody hates the non local website content, but Black Press management are deaf to the complaints.
