With a heavy heart we are looking for a new home for our beloved dog Arrow. He doesn’t fit with our young kids, has shown fear aggression and will need a home without kids.
He is an 8 1/2 year old 70-75lb husky white Shepard cross. He is very loyal, well trained, protective, and loves walks and hanging out with his people. He loves carrots and crunchy veggies like broccoli stalks and loves eating in the compost pile. He is mellow and well behaved. He comes when called, stays close to home and close during off leash walks. He also walks well on heal.
Arrow does have an overuse injury in his shoulder that flares up if he goes too far or hard. Anything over about 1.5-2 hours makes him sore. He does not bike or ski tour anymore because of this. He is good for a short cross country ski and loves running on the groomed snow. He loves trail walks and dips in the cold waters of the Columbia.
He is up to date on all his shots. We got him from AARCS in Calgary when he was 7 months old. He was rescued from being abandoned in the wild of Yellow Knife with his litter.
We have high standards for his care and can't give him the attention he deserves now that he has to be isolated from the toddler and newborn.
